You must be current financial member of an
MA/MV affiliated Club to
obtain a full or one day race licence.
Even if your licence is current you still
need to be a financial member of a club to race.
Seniors (16yo & over) wishing to renew their licence but have not had one for over 12 months must do a theory test & if you don't have a licence for a bike for the road you will have to do a practical test as well. You will need to contact me for that one & to correct your test before you apply for your licence.
Seniors applying for their 1st licence need to do the written test & a riding compentcy test.

All new & existing members, involved in
racing, are expected to contribute at working bees & Rovers events
a reasonable
amount of times throughout the year
- Membership year runs from the 1st of January to the 31st of December each year. (If joining late in the year the following is included)

Must be 18yo or over to join. If under 18yo the parents/guardians would need to
take out a Membership on their behalf.
- Single Rider = $85 (Single, Couple or Family with only one rider)
NOTE* Children covered up till, & including, the current "Membership
Year" they turn 18.
- Family = $105 (Couple or Family with 2 or more riders) NOTE* Children covered up till, & including, the
current "Membership Year" they turn 18.
- The following Membership Year after a child has turned 18
(Before January 1st of each year) they would need a membership in
their own right.
- Social = $35 for Single/Couple (Non-Rider membership, must have been a past financial member)
- Non Competition/Rec classes on club days for both Junior & Senior riders

Types of Members
New Members:
If you wish to join the Ballarat Rovers MCC and have
never been a member of the Ballarat Rovers MCC,

Please note amendment to membership guidelines;
Unfinancial members who do not appear in the membership database, or cannot provide * reasonable proof * that they are a member, are presumed to be a new member.
* Reasonable proof *. Old membership card, current member that can vouch for them, a program or trophy that states they are a member etc.
Types of Memberships
All membership types are eligible to hold an official position in the club
Single Rider Membership $85 (This for Families, Juniors & Seniors
alike)
This membership is for either a Single, Couple or Family that only has ONE
person wanting to ride per membership.
A Junior cannot join in their own right,
one of the parents/guardians would need to take out Single Rider Membership
on their behalf and list the child as
the designated rider.
Both the Family name and the designated rider's name
will be on the membership card.
A Junior is covered under the parents
Single Rider Membership up until, and including, the current
"Membership Year" they reach
the age of 18.
The following Membership Year after a child has
turned 18 (Before January 1st of each year) then they would
need to get their own membership if they wish to continue with the club.

Family Membership $105 (DeFacto/Partner included)
This membership is for either a Couple or Family that has TWO
or MORE riders per
membership.
A Junior riders cannot
join in their own right, at least one of the parents/guardians would need to take out
Family Membership on their behalf
and list the children as the designated riders.
A child is covered under the parents
Family Membership up until, and including, the current "Membership Year" they reach
the age of 18.
The following Membership Year after a child has
turned 18 (Before January 1st of each year) then they would
need to get their own membership if they wish to continue with the club.

Social Membership $35 (Cannot be used to ride, practice

This membership is for members who no longer want to practice or ride
competitively or whose children are now
members themselves or given the sport away but still want to be a part of
the club and the benefits it offers. I.e. Club rego etc.
This
membership is only open to people who have been financial members in the
past.

Practice (TBA, new fees soon)
At this point in time the only facility we offer for practicing is
our MotoX track, Monza.
(Social Membership excluded)
Pay as you ride, (Subject to change) per practice session.

For New Members
The preferred method is print the membership form and come to a club meeting. Be welcomed in and become a FULL member.
Alternatively you can sign up at a Rovers run event or click the online link.
Club meets at Hut 25 Ballarat Airport at 8:15pm. Thursday nights on the 1st & 3rd of Feb, March, April & May, 1st only for June, July & August. 1st & 3rd of Sept & Oct, & every
Thursday in Nov (Last to be AGM)
Finishing the year on the 1st Thurs in Dec
For Renewals
You can either mail it in or present it in person. If you already have one of
our new cards your photo will be on file and do not need to send a new one
unless you want to. If it is a family membership extra membership cards with
separate photo for each member of a family is available for $5.00 per card.
There will be a digital camera at the club rooms meeting nights
or a passport style photo can be
scanned if need be. If you have paid your membership and don't have your new membership
card you can use the receipt till your card is ready.

We run MA/MV sanctioned practices with the full backing of their insurance. They
are fully supervised with licenced officials, level 2 first aid people &
level 1 coaches available at most for Junior 5 hour licence training & for the
"Kickstart Program" for first timers wanting a licence. We DO NOT have
an "Open Key Policy". Members receive SMS
messages to inform when they are on and we will be introducing a "Practice
Calendar" on this site in the near future. To practice at Monza there is a fee per rider, per practice session .(Subject to change)
You need at least a Rec licence to practice. One day Rec licences are available for
on the day or a yearly one from MV also available on the day

We have several Level 1 trained coaches within the club and they
offer their services free of charge to members for the "Kickstart Program" for
first timers wanting a licence and for machine upgrade training needed when going to a larger capacity bike.
